Research Institute ForSocial Equity

Tivoli Dabney serves as the Executive Assistant to the Research Institute for Social Equity (RISE).  She brings years of experience in client relations, event planning, budgeting, scheduling, and supporting the administrative needs of executives, directors, and large teams.   

Dabney is a native of Richmond, Virginia, where as a child, she grew up attending Richmond Public Schools and Henrico County Public Schools.  

Prior to joining VCU and the Research Institute for Social Equity, Dabney worked for VCU Health in the Medical Staff Services department where she serviced the administrative needs of credentialing staff, director, and hospital administration.

Dabney currently resides in Hanover County, with her husband and children.  She enjoys reading, learning, and is very passionate about Mental Health issues; especially so, in marginalized communities.  Dabney also holds memberships with The American Society of Administrative Professionals (ASAP) and Toastmasters International.  In her spare time, Dabney loves spending time with her family, traveling, and helping others.
