Jaythan Newby (He/Him) is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a concentration in International Relations. He has previously worked as an intern for the United States State Department in a role focused on the collection of information regarding African Americans Diplomats during the 20th century (1900-1930s). Jaythan was drawn to the position of Research Assistant at RISE both for the chance it provided him to expand his skillset and the opportunity to assist struggling communities through public policy. He hopes to work for the State Department straight out of college as a Foreign Service Officer.
