Falzah Farooq

Falzah Farooq (she/her) serves as an Undergraduate Research Assistant for the Research Institute for Social Equity at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is currently a second-year undergraduate student studying psychology. Her love for research started in high school, when she interned at the National Institutes of Health for biomedical research. She continued to invest in her research interests as she dual enrolled with George Mason University to complete an Independent Research Study where she studied the impact of preservatives on gut health. After completing her undergraduate studies, she hopes to continue to harbor her passion for research by pursuing a PhD in clinical psychology or counseling psychology.
