Katy Woliver is the Communications Coordinator and a Graduate Research Assistant here at RISE. In August 2026, Woliver moved from her hometown of Virginia Beach to pursue a Master’s of Public Administration degree and a certificate in Non-Profit Management. Woliver received a Bachelor's in Visual Studies with a minor in Art History from Old Dominion University in May 2025. Through studying public policy and what it means to be truly socially equitable, Woliver hopes to have a future career in arts administration, connecting cultural centers to their communities.
Outside of her academic career, Woliver is a mom to two rowdy kittens, identifies as a passionate artist, and dedicated tree-hugger. When she’s not planning social media posts, you can find Woliver browsing the VMFA or exploring the many parks Richmond has to offer.
