
Aaliyah Wood-Laws is a Criminal Justice student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at BVU, with a minor in Homeland Security and a Bachelor's Certificate in Computer Science. Holding an Associate degree from Rappahannock Community College, Wood-Laws is dedicated to any goal undertaken. Experience in both software development and criminal analysis reflects a strong interest in real-world problem-solving.
Recently, Wood-Laws began working as an Office Assistant with the Research Institute for Social Equity, contributing to public policy efforts. Additionally, Wood-Laws serves as a Security Console Associate at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, managing surveillance operations, and has prior experience as a Correctional Officer. These roles continue to strengthen skills in management, problem-solving, and related areas.
Outside of academics and work, Wood-Laws is active in several VCU organizations, including the National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice (NABCJ), the NAACP, and the Stomp N Shake Elite Rams team.
