Luisa Nazareno, PhD is an assistant professor at the L. Douglas Wilder  School of Government and Public Affairs at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her areas of interest include Labor Markets, Social Policy, and Innovation. Nazareno's recent work centers on the implications of emerging technologies for workers and society. Examples of these technologies include online platforms (gig work) and artificial intelligence. Luisa also studies development, inequality, social and urban policy. Most of her research focuses on Latin America and the United States.
